Agenda trumps science, again

Oh Lord. The Vatican is apparently advising that condoms don't stop the transmission of HIV, so they shouldn't be used.

In an interview, one of the Vatican's most senior cardinals Alfonso Lopez Trujillo suggested HIV could even pass through condoms.

"The Aids virus is roughly 450 times smaller than the spermatozoon. The spermatozoon can easily pass through the 'net' that is formed by the condom," he says.

Um, Your Eminence? If you want your flock to increase, it needs to be alive.

With all that's going on in the world, I guess it shouldn't be a total shocker but, my oh my, it's spooky!!! A crude thought--given those statistics, I wonder how many of the mongers of misinformation have already contracted the virus? (Said while ducking and quickly running away)

In Catholic Grade school I was taught that VD was spread through toilet seats, so I would take what any priest said with a grain of salt.
Best joke I've heard in a long time from David Letterman (not verbatim):
Arnold Schwartznegger was accused of groping 6 women..........two more and he gets to be an honorary priest!!
anyway,
priests should stick to what they know best...whatever that is.......
