Oh Lord. The Vatican is apparently advising that condoms don't stop the transmission of HIV, so they shouldn't be used.
In an interview, one of the Vatican's most senior cardinals Alfonso Lopez Trujillo suggested HIV could even pass through condoms."The Aids virus is roughly 450 times smaller than the spermatozoon. The spermatozoon can easily pass through the 'net' that is formed by the condom," he says.
Um, Your Eminence? If you want your flock to increase, it needs to be alive.

A crude thought--given those statistics, I wonder how many of the mongers of misinformation have already contracted the virus? (Said while ducking and quickly running away)
