RSS Aggregators

Can anyone recommend a good free news/blog aggregator? Who uses what?

I've been using Bloglines for quite some time. Love it.

There are basically 3 types of news aggregators -- those that work as an add-on to your mail client (NewsGator); those that work in a browser (Bloglines, Amphetadesk); and those that work as standalone programs in their own right (FeedDemon, NetNewsWire for the Mac). I don't love Outlook enough to want to stare at it more than I already do, so in my recent fiddlings with newsreaders I concentrated on browser or standalone ones. I tried Amphetadesk, which was dead simple to set up but didn't really float my boat, and now I am using FeedDemon, which I like a lot. I also have friends who like Bloglines a lot, but I haven't tried it myself.

Amphetadesk here. No problems under Win32.

I bought Eudora in part to get away from Outlook, so that sort doesn't appeal. I'll try the browser-oriented ones, thanks.

If you are curious about what Steve is talking about in this post, I have some info on RSS feeds here and here.

Try the Info Aggregator which delivers RSS feeds into your mailbox - use your favorite mail client.
It doesn't require any software download / installation. You can manage your subscriptions online.
