Posted by Linkmeister at November 30, 2004 12:01 AMI thought I heard something about a 1-night Cream reunion coming up, too!
Posted by: Solonor at November 30, 2004 01:16 AMI heard that rumor about Cream, too.
Posted by: Kim at November 30, 2004 05:17 AMAh, yes, this happened in my backyard and alas I was unable to go, having an adult life and responsibilities and such.
But, I wonder which version of Layla EC chose to play -- as much as I dig on the slower version, I lose myself entirely in the original. Thanks for the heads up!
Posted by: Skatemom at November 30, 2004 09:29 AMIf you believe the clips PBS is using to promote the show, it's the fully-electrified "Derek and the Dominos" version (without Allman, of course).
Posted by: Linkmeister at November 30, 2004 09:37 AMWhat!!! Ginger Baker is still alive??? There were rumors of his slow death in the 60's. I drove up to New Haven to see Cream in the 60's-from NJ...
I hate driving 10 feet nowadays..
I wish Patti Boyd would write about the 60's-70's.
Her being married to Clapton and Harrison and all...
Would be an interesting read!
It's on the 8th here in central Cal; thanks, man!
