Wondrous stuff

Remember the Seven Wonders of the World? They were all selected by a Byzantine in 200 B.C. There's now a campaign to select seven new wonders of the world, and it's online for all to choose.

Of less consequence, but a wonder nonetheless: I just had a manual window regulator replaced in the car, and the part cost twice as much as the labor. When's the last time you saw that?

I wish I could see the statues at Easter Island! They should definitely be included... since they are *real* "wonders".

I think the El Castillo at Chichen Itza should be included.
I was seriously worried about someone tumbling down on my way up or down, and knocking me for a tumble...
I heard that this happens from time to time!
But it was incredibly impressive.

The Golden Gate Bridge I think is more impressive to see than the Statue of Liberty.
But I was sad when I was a kid that I missed (by being born too late) the opportunity to go up into the torch.
I love the scene in "The President's Analyst" where he's standing on the torch balcony all contemplatively happy about life, while these silly whispy feminine voices sing a medley of 60s-ish folk mixed in with Christmas carol lyrics.
