A Late Review of Baseball's All Star Game

This perfectly encapsulates my feelings about Fox and its (in)ability to broadcast baseball.

King Kaufman had a great rant in Salon about this, too. It was just so God-awful. I knew we were in for a bad time when the night began with Billy Bob Thorton hawking Bad News Bears via a thinly disguised tribute to baseball.

I'd take Joe Morgan taking three innings to explain the infield fly rule over those morons at Fox any day.

Ouch. Joe Morgan? He'd probably spend 12 seconds explaining it. That would include the theory that popups came on "slide pieces." He'd then spend the remaining half-hour telling us how Davey Concepcion caught more of them than any other player in history.
