Wow!

This game might be the best Little League World Series game ever played. Does anyone remember Game Six of the 1975 World Series? The Hawai'i kids played it out almost the same way; coming back from three runs down to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth and final regular inning, then hitting a home run to win it in extra innings.

There'll be a hot time in 'Ewa Beach tonight!

Update: The entire front page of the morning paper is devoted to the kids and the game.

That is awesome!

I love the story about the dad that quit his job to go see his son play. I hope that's true and not urban legend. (And I hope he finds a new job.)

It's true. There's speculation that his former employer may want to hire him back, after all this publicity. If not, the way the construction industry is booming out here, he shouldn't have too much trouble finding another concrete-truck-driving job (and I'm thinking of getting a CDL myself -- $60K a year??).

My nextdoor neighbor got a call from ESPN that they were planning to use one of his songs during the broadcast so I actually tuned in. Damn, those kids are good. Maybe when they're done they can come give the washington nationals some pointers. bwahahaha!
