You Passed 8th Grade Math
Congratulations, you got 8/10 correct!
Could You Pass 8th Grade Math?

The only thing wrong with this quiz is that it doesn't tell you which ones you missed. Grrr.

(Seen in lots of different places today)

I got an 8 too....I guess I'm lucky I graduated from 8th grade.

I got 8, too. The two I missed (from experimenting with the answers on the ones I suspected I missed) were the "what is -7?" and the average/median/mode questions.

Well, I called -7 an integer and said 2 was the mode, so if you picked those answers too, Sol, then I know what I got wrong. "Mode?" I've forgotten that term completely! What's a piece of cheese got to do with a number series?

I'm afraid to take the test. But I should steel myself and do it and find out what I need to brush up on because I'm going to be taking it all next year, every night, after supper...

"Dad, what's an integer?"

Lance, I remember trying to persuade my (much-younger) sister that it was entirely possible to divide smaller numbers by larger ones while we were sitting at a café in Tokyo. It didn't take, but it provided lots of amusement for our parents.

The only remedy to this defect is to .. . um.. score a 10/10

In 4th grade I took a spelling test and got 109/110 correct. While I may have gotten some of the 109 wrong in subsequent years, I've never mispelt "receive" since. ;)
