Lost, Season 2, "?"

Yes indeed, an appropriate title for this episode. It left me with more questions than answers (again). I was certain that Michael would have to murder Libby somehow,

Spoilers!!

but no need. She did try pretty hard to put the finger on him, though.

It's very odd that Eko and his brother would appear in Locke's dream; the rest of this episode was played fairly straight, it seemed to me.

The copyright date on the Dharma Foundation tape found in the second hatch was 1980. I wonder if that means anything. And there was another ad from the HansoFoundation, with a new website: sublymonal.com. (Clever misspelling, guys.)

Did you catch the USA today article about Lost yesterday? Interesting theories - and tidbits. Most interesting bit was that somebody noticed the date on Jack's baggage claim ticket was 2009. hmmmm... sounding more and more like millenium to me...

I think this show establishes that it's about "rats in a maze", but now we know that they actually have other rats watching the rats, and maybe even more rats above that. Multi-level Rat Watching?? LOL

How far did you get in on the sublymonal site?

No farther than the rotating tv screens or whatever they are, with the fading "Obey." It was late! ;)

It is looking more and more like a giant Skinner box.

tap all the screens until they glow.

next screen, there is link under the text in the foreground.

Once you tap all of the screens until they remain fuylly lit, you are taken to another screen. click appropriately, and you go to the Hanso foundation Site.

What is interesting there is to try and sign up for their newsletter. Persephone will ask you for the password.

I tried the 4 8 15 16 23 42 sequence, and got a brushoff.

Tap the first screen 4 times, the second 8 times, then 5, then 16, 23 and 42 for the remaining screens to go to see the subliminal message screen. Remembering that message, click below and you go to the exec bio page of the Hanso site.

In the exec bio of Dr. thomas Mittelwek, you notice a place to enter some text. Try the subliminal message from earlier, and see what you get.

More research:

After signing up for the newsletter and being greeted by Persophone, one is prompted for a password.

Calling 877-hansorg, one hears a recording by this Persophone, in which she reveals the two-word passcode.

Enter it on the web page and see what happens.

....

Also, it has been discovered that the music on the page is actually morse code (As you can tell from the beeps that are in it). The code spells out: "Save Me"

Thanks. I got as far as calling, but I didn't quite get the password so I called back and got a busy signal. I'll have to try again today.
