Flag Day 2006

The State flag is nylon, with mill-sewn stripes (the other alternative is 100% printed). The American one (a few years old) is cotton. The flag seller said he didn't even sell cotton anymore, because the price of the fabric meant he'd have to charge nearly twice as much, which might drive off customers.

The official rules of flag etiquette are here. The American flag is always displayed to its own right (viewer's left), which is why it looks further away in this photo.
