Sandwich review

Last week I went to the dentist; today was Mom's turn. The appointment was for 11:45, so we decided to get lunch afterwards.

I can tell you that Jack in the Box's Bacon Cheese Ciabatta burger is very very big.

I refuse to support Jack in the Box any more. First my old roomie was in one, one evening and heard the cooks making comments in spanish about queers. Admittedly, he was not sure they were directed towards him (he is gay), but the comments were offensive just the same. When he called their corporate comment lie they simply said they would talk to the owner of that franchise but there really wasn't anything they could do about it. Then I had my crappy expierience there. I went through the drive through one night and it took forever - I was literealy in line - with two cars ahead of me - and waited in line for more than ten minutes. Unfortunately there was someone behind me and no way to get out of the line. I order my food and specificaly ask for ranch sauce for my jalepeno poppers. When I finaly got my food - there was no sauce in the bag. So I went inside to get it and was a little short with the counter girl. To be clear, I wasn't rude - I was in a hurry. As I am walking to the door, the girl says, "asshole" under her breath, yet loud enough for me and everyone there to here it. Then she refused to go get her manager when I said I wanted to talk to one. When I called to complain to the corporate office, I got the same rigamorole as my roomie had - we can't really do anything about it. As a company they obviously could care less about customer service - not the sort of place I will support. I don't expect people serving me to kiss my ass or even act excited to serve me - but I refuse to frequent places where employees are going to treat me badly.

It's unfortunate too - I really like the expansive menu there.

I rarely go out for fast food at all anymore, so I haven't had that sort of experience. A neighbor down the hall in my fraternity worked the swing shift as a cook for Jack, and that cured me of ever wanting to seek employment there, though. The poor guy just stank of grease.

I'm out the door at 6:00am at the latest and I get home around 7:30 at the earliest, often times much later. I try to minimize my fast food intake but still eat it 3-4 times a week. I used to have a vaccum sealer and carried a hot plate and pot to boil home food in bags but the sealer died - really should get another.

I worked in a four star resteraunt and had the same problem. It wasn't that they use that much grease - it's just the strongest smell - next to the garlic - ummmm, garlic.
