Besides, I usually try to set everything up the weekend before Turkey Day so it's not like we'll be light-less for that many months.

We used to do two trees: an artificial one downstairs with satin balls, pearls and glass and an upstairs authentic one with all the silly ornaments. Now we just do the authentic one upstairs. Neither has built-in lights, but I can see the appeal.
