Water water everywhere

Damn. When one toilet's fixed, another one goes. Worse, when testing to see if the water came back on properly after changing the valve in the second one, the aerator in the sink's faucet failed and broke off within the faucet head, so now I need a new faucet.

Who did I harm to be cursed like this?

Plumbing is a world apart. It has a language of it's own, and often brings out the worst in people.

Good luck

My sewer pipes clogged up this weekend. The dishwasher, toilets and washing machines caused a flood in the basement. The next day (after the whole mess was fixed) I had to call the plumber again-this time the washing machine's hose split and water leaked all over the floor.
Final cost $1400.

Ouch. We got the faucet/toilets fixed, the plumber left, and when I turned off the shower after washing, the hot-water handle's threads were stripped.

What the heck is going on here?

At least you have hot water. Dear old mom has been boiling water on the stove for the past week so we can bathe in some degree of comfort.

Apparently there's a leak in the hot water pipe, and said leak seems to be right under my room (giving me the side effect of a toasty warm underwear drawer). Plumber's supposed to fix it soon...not soon enough.
