It was even funnier in person than it sounded, but Linda Ronstadt spoke so softly, both on stage and on the recording, that I'm going to have to download the podcast and put on the Etymotic in-ear headphones, so I can HEAR what she is saying! It astounds me that the owner of that big, belting singing voice has such a soft and inaudible speaking voice.

I own nine Ronstadt albums. She had (has?) a fantastic voice. The photo spread Annie Leibovitz did of her for Rolling Stone was spectacular, too.
