Above the law? You betcha!

Emperor Bush has commuted Libby's sentence.

''I respect the jury's verdict,'' Bush said in a statement. ''But I have concluded that the prison sentence given to Mr. Libby is excessive. Therefore, I am commuting the portion of Mr. Libby's sentence that required him to spend thirty months in prison.''

Respect the jury's verdict? Like hell you do.

Impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney. Now.

I think that Libby should have been subject to punishment similar to that applied to Sandy Berger.

What part of breaking the law and being convicted of it do you not get, Pix?

All these "law and order" Republicans screaming for a pardon astonish me. It really is "Ok if you're a Republican," I guess.

By the way, Berger made a plea deal with Federal prosecutors; those prosecutors could have declined to offer a deal and taken it to court if they were sure of a conviction.
