21st Century storage problem

So you get the "Memory Card Full" alarm on your camera, and you say "Hah! I have another one!" and then you replace the full one with the new one and then you say "What the heck do I do with the full card?"

In the film days you'd have a full photo album and store it wherever you store them; with a full memory card do you put it on a keychain?

Life is so complex.

There are options that can be found by searching Amazon for "SD card wallet" or "SD card case."

Fascinating. There's a market for everything.

Yeah. I actually use mine to keep SD cards, the adapter for my iPaq audio adapter, and a couple of UK SIM cards.

What the heck do I do with the full card? I wait 'til I get home, plug it in my card reader, download the pics and erase the card. Isn't that how it's meant to be used? It IS erasable, unlike film. Maybe it's just me.

Right, Keith, but if you're unsure whether you've uploaded them all then you've got a chore ahead of you. "Have I already got this one in the Christmas folder? Do I need these cute gecko pictures or did I upload them to Flickr?"

I know it's laziness, but still.
