Super Bowl entertainment

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be performing the halftime show at the Super Bowl Sunday. Here they are singing "I Won't Back Down."

Notice the drummer.

But ignore Jeff Lynne and George Harrison singing backup?

Oops. Although I had to Google Lynne to find out why he's important. He co-produced the Petty album which had this song on it, as it turns out (per Wikipedia).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this album was technically considered a solo album. Some of the Heartbreakers appear, e.g., Mike Campbell plays lead on this track, but a lot of other folks played on it, too, like Lynne and Harrison, and that's Mr. Starkey playing drums there in the video. Such a terrific album. It's also sort of the proto-Wilburys album.

If you didn't know who Jeff Lynne was, may I suggest tracking down some stuff by the Move, the British invasion band he was a part of that eventually morphed into ELO. They put out some terrific songs in their day. I can even send you a couple of tracks if you like.
