Obama speaks to crowd in Honolulu

Video Damned TV station pulled the live video. Here's a recap of his brief (15 minutes or so) speech to several thousand folks at Keehi Lagoon.

He opened saying he was gonna go to Zippy's (a local favorite), and closed saying "I'll see you on the beach!"

My wife and I just got back from the rally. (We took The Bus.) Great energy in the crowd. Obama was introduced as "keiki `o ka`ina," a child of the land. It was a very moving 15 to 20 minute stop on his way in from the airport. Hope to see him over at Rainbow Drive-In for a plate or out at Sandy's.

Oh, please, please, please let's get this guy elected!

I am just back from Kailua Beach, also stopped on Lanikai Beach, but he wasn't there - I understand he has been jogging out here early mornings so I guess I need to be down there early tomorrow am. Have my camera ready if he and I connect. LOL. And coupons to Pepper's Place so he can stop in for a cheesesteak. HA!

We think we have a pretty good idea where Senator Obama is staying, so if we are right, maybe we will get lucky!!

Am so sad, we are leaving Weds am, the time has flown and I so do not want to leave. I should be grateful that we could be here for 23 days, but today (which is not normal for me) my glass is half empty!! Could have something to do with looking at the long range forecast for our part of Massachusetts........as my husband says, just don't look,

Aloha!!

"Some folks" are saying that Hawai'i is "too exotic" for a vacation. Should your Congresscritters and Tourism Board give them a piece of reality? Perhaps the folks saying this have forgotten that Hawai'i is one of the States.

"Some folks" are the same people who own summer homes in The Hamptons or Nantucket. Let them come out here and experience our traffic or buy groceries or gas at the wildly inflated prices we pay and then call us elitist or exotic.
