Summer "driving season"

$2.939/gallon for regular unleaded * 6.808 gallons = $20.01

Ouch.

What's the price per gallon where you live?

Happily, I don't drive, but I did notice last night that the per-gallon price was inching toward $3 at the gas station nearest where I live.

About $2.70. Still too high. And going up 5 to 10 cents a day.

About $2.75 for regular here. I usually tank up on the mid-octane gas, and that's about $3.00. Probably not taking a driving vacation this year.

$2.55 per gallon in the densely populated, highway driven, lung diseased state of New Jersey.
