Party of No wins one

So Harry Reid says we'll have to wait till the Senate comes back from its three-week August break before voting on health care reform.

“Working with the Republicans, one of the things that they asked for was to have more time,” Mr. Reid said. “A decision was made to give them more time for the Finance Committee.”

Okay. In that three weeks:

Seems reasonable to me, Senators.

Why on earth does Harry Reid think that the Republicans will do anything differently after a vacation break? They are going to continue to obstruct the health-care reform and every other program the President puts out because all they want is for him to "fail". And they don't care of the whole country goes down the drain with him as long as they can say, "See, we told you that government doesn't work". As far as Repubs are concerned, bipartisanship is only good when Democrats roll over and play dead, thus letting the Repubs have their way.

We have known for the last 20 years that something had to be done to reform health-care. That's long enough. NOW is the time to finally take action. What's on the table now may not be the perfect plan but we have to start somewhere.

Harry Reid needs to lift his head up above the DC Beltway and look at what's happening in the rest of the country. People need help now, not next year.

Get with it, Harry!!

and the reality is that Harry Reid will have a nice vacation and probably sleep a lot better than the rest of us do...
