Washday thought

Why is it that my dryer has an audible alarm to tell me when it's done, but my washing machine does not?

Both machines are from the same manufacturer, for heaven's sake; it's not like the technology is foreign. So how come no buzzer for the washer?

Gee, my washer has an alarm, with 2 settings - loud and soft. Of course, it sometimes resets itself to the soft alarm! LOL

(Darn machines are getting too intelligent. They may take over the world yet!!)

Never thought about it. But then, my dryer doesn't have an alarm either.

It's because they're trying to make you crazy, that's why.

I agree with you...especially in the summer when a few hours marks the death of fresh smelling newly washed clothing.

Because you need to take things out of the dryer immediately to avoid wrinkles. Even a few minutes will undo the good work of the tumbler/air blower combo, and force you to iron. (If, that is, you iron your clothes.)

The washer isn't so time sensitive. A few hours might make a difference, a few minutes won't.

Also - clean your dryer vents regularly with a lint removal brush!!!!
