Photo archiving

It's not the scanning that's the hard work, it's the captioning. 35 pictures, an hour-and-a-half.

Actually, it's deciding which photos truly represent the time frame you're trying to save out of the hundreds you have which takes the most time.

My husband has set himself that task and finds it rather daunting. Not only what slide is best but often when did he take it as he didn't always date his earliest slides. And part of the reason he's doing this is because, after all these years, the slides are beginning to grow mildew. That means having to clean them both in hand and on the screen. Lots of work - but - lots of pleasure and some very pleasant memories of "the good, old days" when we were "young and foolish". :-)
