Yet another lie
The list of general lies needs an addition. Beyond
- The check is in the mail
- I'll respect you in the morning
- I'm from the government and I'm here to help you,
next should be "Of course there won't be any environmental impact". This is usually said by a resource-extraction company's spokesperson, although local politicians may also say it. It's often heard when new drilling/mining projects are proposed.
There's a reason it belongs on the list of big lies.
