Screwed-up priorities

Why is all of Washington focused on deficits rather than on getting 14 million Americans back to work? If you got even 10 million of us back to work deficits would start coming down as tax revenues started going back up.

Why is this so hard to understand?

Could it be because no one in Washington listens to those speaking for labor anymore?

As my recent blog post read: Where ARE the jobs, Mr. Boehner??

It's because the people in the position to create jobs and set the economy on the road to recovery do not WANT to create jobs and set the economy on the road to recovery, lest it be seen as a victory for the Kenyan-born Muslim Half-Negro in the White House. Republicans and their owners/partners in the business world will sit and wait until Obama's out, and then they'll do the same fine job to the economy that they did from 2001 therough 2008.

Are you suggesting, Harold, that the GOP doesn't care about people? Hmm. I guess you'd be right.
