Comments: File transfer programs

Don't know what has caused your problem, but fwiw I use FTP Explorer and really like it. It's got a Windows Explorer-like interface which makes it very easy to use. Just FYI.

I don't know what your problem is, either, but I use Filezilla for my ftp needs.

I like FTP Explorer, too, on the PC.

I'm using WSFTP-Pro for Windows 95 and NT and it still works just fine.

Charles, Scott...I downloaded FTP Explorer and had no trouble getting into my server. Thanks for the tip.

Being the ornery sort I am, I'd still like to know what went wrong, but it's nice to have an alternative.

I've been using WS-FTP LE (version 5.08) for a couple of years. Just checked, and it's working fine.

I think it's a still TBD server issue, N.

Check your firewall settings. If you recently did an update of the firewall software, or Windows, that may have blocked the outgoing port. Just a thought, ;-)
