Incurious George

Asked how Bush was interacting with the Vietnamese people, advisor Stephen Hadley said:

"If you‘d been part of the president‘s motorcade as we‘ve shuttled back and forth over the course of the day ... as you can tell, we‘re in the midst of the Vietnamese people all the time," he said.

Right. From the interior of the car.

How the hell do you get to be 60 years old and have as little curiosity about the rest of the world as this guy has?

Like Bill Clinton, maybe Bush can be credited with exhibiting deep intellectual curiosity by strolling through a marketplace on a meet and greet.

Au contraire, Strike4 - Bill Clinton is a meeter-and-greeter. He likes people. Give him a marketplace full of Vietnamese, and he'll find one or two who speak English and have them translate for him, and with any luck somebody will have a saxophone.

Bush has no curiosity because he has no brain.
